Frequently Asked Questions
How does the design service work?
We work with you to help you craft all the aspects required to put an Everlux kitchen together.
We’ll ask you to send us some measurements and take photos of your current space.
Then we’ll book in a Dream Discovery session where we talk about everything you want. We can do this over Zoom or in person.
We’ll create some mockups where we show you what it would look like when made. We can go back and forth until you’re fully happy with the end result of the mockup. Only then do we send it off to be manufactured.
What are the typical lead times involved?
Whilst the amount of time from placement of the order to confirming that the order is ready for production can vary from customer to customer, the below is a worst-case estimate of expected lead times.
To get from DreamDiscovery to DreamDesign – Approx 2 weeks
Once you approve the design, DreamDevelopment takes approx 6-8 weeks to build
Once manufactured, it’ll be at your door within one week.
Of course, it may be a lot less, but depends a lot on the individual client – some kitchens can take a few days to concept and design, others a few weeks and some even a few months, depending on client approval.
Do you come on site to measure?
We usually work from dimensions or measurements supplied by the customer. If you are a little unsure or apprehensive to take your own measurements, then perhaps consider a local builder or tradesman to run through this with you.
Can you supply appliances?
Yes – we can supply every aspect of the kitchen. We’re proud to have many strong partnerships and alliances and can provide or recommended appliances, sinks and taps.
Do you fit kitchens?
In short, we can take care of the entire end-to-end process for you, so we can fit kitchens also. We often find clients prefer a local joiner or fitter to install their kitchen, as this can be the most cost-effective option; that said, after you have placed your order just let us know if you would like to add installation and we can cost that in.
What kind of worktops do you offer?
You name it. It can be solid wood, granite, marble or stone – just let us know your preference and we can incorporate.
What are your kitchens constructed from?
Quality is everything. Which is why we’ve gone for 18m Egger MFC to build our carcasses – one of the highest quality materials out there to work with. It’s safe, durable, robust and extremely stable. Having said that, if you’d prefer a different type of material, we can certainly accommodate whatever brand or material select.
Where are you based?
We are based in the outskirts of Nottinghamshire and our Everlux client team currently service both the East and West Midlands.
What if I’m not based in the Midlands – can I still order a kitchen from you?
Yes – no problem at all, we’re delighted to deliver anywhere within the UK.
If you wish for international delivery, then we would deliver the kitchen fully packed and pre-built port of your choice, and it would be your responsibility from that point forward to handle customs, shipping etc.
What information is required to receive an accurate quotation?
To give you an insight, it’s the following bits of critical information (which we cover in our DreamDiscovery session) which help us provide you with an accurate idea of costing
- The exact dimensions of the room
- A rough plan (it can be architect drawn or even hand drawn).
- Your preferred configuration of the cabinets
- Appliances required and whether these are integrated or freestanding.
- Your preferred kitchen style – Contemporary, Traditional, Inframe or Shaker
- Your preferred door style
- Your preferred handle style
Once we have the above information alongside anything else that you may feel is relevant, we will be able to provide you with an initial estimate of costs.
Can I see some samples?
With regards to sampling – we have swatches available and cut outs of worktop to showcase the quality and styles. We also have samples of doors available to show the quality and design. And of course, we have every swatch colour we can show you.
If you’d prefer to order a full door and colour sample, they can be made to order – and have a lead time of 4-6 weeks.
What measures are you taking to be COVID-19 Compliant?
All of our Everlux Experts are fully trained and ensure all of our systems, processes and production adhere to all COVID 19 Government Guidelines.
Any physical meetings are done with social distancing and masks and a remote virtual meeting is also available if that is preferred.
